Challenge & Solution
We design the complete interior in Adobe InDesign – professional typesetting and layout – and deliver two editions from one source file:
- Custom 6×9 trim setup with mirrored inside/outside margins
- Chapter openers with drop caps, small-caps headings, running heads, and folios
- Print-ready PDF with bleed and crop marks – built to Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Barnes & Noble Press, and Lulu specifications
- A matching screen/ebook PDF edition and, on request, a validated reflowable EPUB
Print Edition vs Screen Edition
Two genuinely different builds from one InDesign source – not a renamed export. Print: facing pages, mirrored margins, bleed and crop marks, blank versos before openers. Screen: single pages with even margins, blank pages removed – 334 pages in print became 301 on screen in this title – and a fully linked table of contents with PDF bookmarks.
